This year’s annual scientific meeting has now concluded.

We look forward to seeing everyone at next year’s meeting from 12 – 14 November 2025 on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.

2024 Welcome Letter

Dear HITH Society Members, Friends, Colleagues, and Innovative Thinkers,

I would like to pay my respects to the Gadigal people of the Eora nation, and to Elders past and present, and on behalf of the conference organising team, look forward to welcoming you at the 16th HITH Society Annual Scientific Meeting.

The conference will be held in Sydney from 13-15 November 2024 at the Sydney Masonic Centre, on the beautiful lands of the Gadigal people.

The annual HITH Conference has become a cornerstone of the HITH Calendar and is the ‘must attend’ HITH event of the year. This year’s Conference will strive to offer plenty of networking opportunities to meet and interact with colleagues from Australia, New Zealand, as well as our invited speakers, sponsors and exhibitors.

The 2023 event attracted 332 registrants, our highest number yet, and we look forward to a continued momentum and focus on HITH, which we see as a cornerstone of sustainable health care in the future.

The Sydney Masonic Centre (SMC) is located in the centre of Sydney city, just a 10-minute walk from Central and Town Hall Station. It is close to cafes, restaurants and vibrant city retail precincts including World Square, the QVB and Pitt Street Mall. SMC is a world-class purpose-built event venue defined by striking monumental architecture. Equipped with thirteen fully-accessible multi-purpose spaces all complemented by elegant contemporary interiors and advanced audio-visual technology.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting!

The HITH Society Annual Scientific Meeting is organised by the HITH Society of Australasia, the peak independent organisation for HITH within Australasia. It is an independent, volunteer, not-for-profit member-based organisation. It seeks to evaluate and improve the delivery of hospital-level care in the home.  HITH is acute inpatient equivalent care, utilising highly skilled staff, hospital technologies, equipment, medication, and safety and quality standards, to deliver hospital-level care within a person’s place of residence or preferred (non-hospital) treatment location.
