Acknowledgement
Registrations will be acknowledged via email with confirmation of your requirements in accordance with your registration, together with a tax invoice receipt. Please note that bookings will only be confirmed once payment is received.
Cancellation Policy
HITH Society is not responsible for the loss to delegates of any travel, hotel or other related costs as a result of the cancellation of the 2024 Conference.
Delegates are recommended to organise travel insurance. Individual policies may differ and are not likely to cover travel bans but you may be able to get coverage for cancelled accommodation charges due to contracting covid and not being able to attend.
Individual Cancellations:
Refunds of Conference Registration Fees paid, less a $100.00 AUD administration fee, will be granted until 4 October 2024. Cancellation must be received in writing to the Conference Secretariat before this date. Cancellations received after 4 October 2024 will NOT receive a refund. A replacement delegate can be sent login details with no penalty charged, however this must also be advised to the Conference Secretariat in writing.

General Conditions of Registration
It is expressly agreed that the members of the Organising Committee and the Conference Secretariat for the HITH Society Australasia 16th Annual Scientific Conference 2024, their legal representatives, directors and employees, and their agents, officers and services, shall not be liable for any loss, injury or damage of any kind whatsoever suffered directly or indirectly by the person, possession or property of any Conference participant or other person during or in connection with the events on the program or any other activities of the HITH Society Australasia 16th Annual Scientific Conference 2024, for any reason whatsoever no matter howsoever caused.
It is agreed that the Organising Committee and the Secretariat for the HITH Society Australasia 16th Annual Scientific Conference 2024, and their agents and officers, reserve the right to cancel at any time any or all of the programmed or other activities if this should appear necessary as a result of events which are beyond their control or which they cannot reasonably be expected to influence or for which they are not responsible. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, such events shall include force majeure, government or other official regulations, natural disasters, strikes or any kind whatsoever, civil, international or other crises, or any other unforeseen occurrence. Decisions regarding the necessity for such cancellation shall be taken by the Organising Committee, or their agents, at their sole discretion and shall be final.

The HITH Society Australasia is the peak body representing doctors, nurses, allied health, and other health care workers in Australia, Asia & the Pacific who provide Hospital in the Home (HITH) care. The HITH Society Australasia provides education, promotes networking and through its Executive Council, represents its members by providing expert commentary and lobbying Governments at a local and Federal level on HITH issues. The HITH society yearly membership costs $85.
